The Weekly Impact 9/9/21
This Sunday!

This weekend we will be kicking off our fall study here at the church. Bill Elliff will be here Sunday as we dive into 40 days of prayer. Bill is the Founding Pastor of Summit Church in Little Rock. He has been pastoring for over 50 years and has been used by God to help people have a deeper understanding of prayer and how to seek God’s Face. This would be a great weekend to invite your neighbors, your co-workers, your family to join you for church. Bill will also be here Sunday afternoon at 5:00 as we kick off our church-wide study with all our small groups gathered together in the worship center. (Child-care will be provided).
Prayer with no Intermission
40 days to Unceasing Prayer.
How is your prayer life? This fall we believe God is leading us to seek His Face in even greater ways. We will be striving to do this together as we spend 40 days in prayer. Now, many of you already pray every day, so what’s the big deal about these 40 days? Imagine the strength that can come when a group of people unite their hearts and their activity to seek God consistently over this period. We believe we will see God honor this commitment and we will see new life take place in His church here at Temple. Please don’t miss Sunday as we kick this off.
Student Retreat!
This weekend our students will be gathering at Greers Ferry for a time of fun, food, and digging deeper into God’s Word. We hope your student is signed up and ready to go tomorrow at 5:30. Church family, lets be praying for our students and the leaders as they pull away for the weekend to strengthen their friendships and strengthen their walk with God.
A Great Ministry Opportunity
This year several churches in Jonesboro are teaming up to make an impact across the globe by investing in the international students right here at Arkansas State University. Temple has decided to be a part of this missionary program. The goal for this program is to connect every international exchange student with a host family who knows Jesus. In order to be a host family you would be paired with one student and spend face to face time with them once/month at a minimum, and contact them each week. There is a kick-off dinner at the BCM at ASU on September 17th at 7pm. They will offer a training for anyone who would like it at 6pm before the dinner. This training will just give you some insight into international customs and social relationships. There will be students from all over the world there. Here is a link you can use to sign up if you are ready to be a part of engaging our campus and the rest of the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. If you have any questions please email Jonathan at jonathan@templejonesboro.com, or call/text at 8702432467.
