50th anniversary Celebration
I wanted to say a personal thank you to everyone who helped make last weekend (our 50th celebration) a moment to remember in the life of our church. There are so many that I could mention (and hopefully I’ve been able to get to each of you) who worked and served to bring everything together, and I want you to know I believe our Heavenly Father was pleased with the way we celebrated what He has been doing here at Temple for over 50 years. A special thank you to the anniversary team that helped with the preparation and details for the anniversary, and to Luke Priest and the fireworks display he prepared and produced to help us celebrate! Again, there are so many of you that served to make this a great weekend, and I wish I could name everyone of you (without forgetting anyone). Please know I am very thankful for your service and commitment to Temple and our future. Your Pastor…Andy

Don’t Miss Out on Wednesday Nights this Fall…Starting August 31st!
Next Wednesday we will be kicking off our fall Wednesday nights with a family fun night. This is for our church family, ages birth through 99+. We want everyone here. We will be having hamburgers and hotdogs and we will be playing a lot of old-time camp style games. (i.e., three legged races, egg toss, relay races, etc.!) We will also have some side games set up like cornhole and spike ball for people to enjoy while waiting for their turn at the friendly competition! Come laugh, cheer, compete, and have a great time with your church family. And bring a new family with you to enjoy the fun!

Our Yearly Vote on Budget & Teams
This Sunday we will be voting on our yearly budget and our ministry teams. (The budget was prosed on August 10th.) We will do this through ballots that you will have access to at the end of the service, place your votes, and then place your ballots in the offering boxes at the back of the worship center.

Connect with the Quillman’s in Zambia
Quill and Sharon now have Zambian phone numbers! They will continue to use their US numbers until they feel most people have switched over to these new Zambian numbers. Quill did share that WhatsApp is a good way to get in touch with them (message or call), and that will still be through their US numbers for the time, but if you want to text or call direct, they ask you to use these new Zambian numbers.

Students Annual Lake Trip
Our students (7-12grade) have their annual lake trip coming up the 2nd weekend of September (9th-11th). If you have a teenager (or 12 yr old in 7th grade) we strongly encourage you to get them involved with our student ministry and this is a great opportunity for them to get connected. They will be going to Greer’s Ferry Lake, staying in some cabins through one of our members, eating some good food, having a ton of fun on the lake, making lasting connections with one another and our leaders, and digging into God’s Word together. Cost for the weekend is $50. For more info contact Cole Morgan (870-931-6565)

Food Pantry Needs
Here is one way we can all help with our food pantry. You could help provide these items to stock the pantry as we get ready to serve our community in September: Sugar, Self-rising Flour, Cooking Oil, Margarine, and Evaporated Milk. You can drop these in the foyer in the cart designated for our food pantry. If you are looking for an area to serve you can contact Janie Hawkins, Michelle Green, or Cathy Ezell to see what the needs are in this area of our ministry. Our food pantry is open the 2nd Friday of each month. Doors open at 9:00.

With school starting back, our clothes closet is in need of children’s clothing. As you clear out closets and your kid(s) move on to the next size, please consider bringing your children’s clothes (that are in good shape) to the clothes closet so we can bless other families through this outreach of our church. Our clothes closet is open the 1st and 2nd Friday of each month. Doors open at 9:00.
